In my time, it was not so inconceivable that nearly everyone you would meet had blood on their hands. Many would prefer not to sully their hands so, but ordering the death of a man is no different than being the one to cut his throat.
[Kadar shrugs a shoulder up. Even if he was the one who killed on command, he preferred that, to some extent. It made things more fair -- he could be the one killed. Being one who sat behind a desk and commanded his people... it didn't suit him.]
The Twelve would call it a "habit". [Kadar uncovers his tag, finally, a little cautiously.] I climb on buildings, habitually-- I do not kill people the same.
Heh, that's what I've heard from a few people here. The ones who weren't preaching their innocence, at least. I guess it's a little right, though-- my "work"... I wasn't the guy who ordered it.
[ raising a brow at Kadar's tag as well as his words, Magato continues, bringing a hand to his hip as he leans against the building beside them. ]
What-- so it just happens?
[ he could get that. sometimes it just kinda jumps out there and you gotta do it. (not that it's a normal occurrence with people, but Magato doesn't quite get that.) ]
Some have hands cleaner than others, but not much is there for me to judge. Here... [Kadar spreads his hands a little helplessly.] Things are different here, and I do not think many here have had to fight so hard to survive in a hostile world. They come from a different sort of home, where murder and murderers are simply stories one tells a child to keep them from misbehaving.
There might be more judgin' than you'd think. Sure, not everyone is as willing to accept guys like us, but... there's a lot of people I've seen who seem more than willing to kill if the reason is "right".
[ lips pursing, he thinks on it for just a second ]
Hell, most of everyone here seems t'have come from a place where people are killed all the time.
Then I can only hope that many here are killing for the "right" reasons for all-- or I can only imagine we will quickly have a large disagreement on all of our hands.
[ he shrugs. it isn't too much of an issue in his mind... then again, Magato probably wasn't exactly someone you could say was killing for the "right" reasons, either. ]
I'm surprised we haven't had one already. Ah, well... only time can tell. I don't care either way.
A deadly riot. I wonder if the Gods would see fit to resurrect everyone so easily, if so many were killed. Of course, it is possible that there would not be so many fighting... but I cannot imagine there are too many of us who are peaceable, brought here to fight a war.

[he falls quiet for a moment, and then, a little carefully;]
Not everyone is innocent.

[ a beat, ]
Doesn't seem like a bad habit to have or throw away. It's all about how you handle it, yeah?
