In my time, it was not so inconceivable that nearly everyone you would meet had blood on their hands. Many would prefer not to sully their hands so, but ordering the death of a man is no different than being the one to cut his throat.

[Kadar shrugs a shoulder up. Even if he was the one who killed on command, he preferred that, to some extent. It made things more fair -- he could be the one killed. Being one who sat behind a desk and commanded his people... it didn't suit him.]

The Twelve would call it a "habit". [Kadar uncovers his tag, finally, a little cautiously.] I climb on buildings, habitually-- I do not kill people the same.
